Dr Milton Ocheing Blessing Hospital

A physician nominated surgical tech Kyleigh Hamilton for her outstanding work on a busy day at the Blessing Surgery Center. For her demonstration of the ICARE value of compassion on that day, Kyleigh received an ICARE award in a surprise ceremony on October 28.

Dr. Milton Ochieng, gastroenterologist, wrote in his nomination: “We did 14 GI procedures all day with the last one finishing around 1 am. It was Kyleigh’s 2nd day back to work after an illness. Yet when presented with the prospect of a long day assisting in the Blessing operating room providing life-saving care to other patients, she did not hesitate at all.

Kyleigh brought the same dedication to the care of each patient, and knowing that she herself had just experienced her own sick leave I felt that it was important to highlight her commitment to excellence, her compassion and the way she exhibits I CARE values. Kyleigh’s dedication and strong will exemplifies the Blessing ICARE tenet.

I am honored to have her as my colleague at work.”

Blessing Health employees nominate their peers for an ICARE award based on their demonstration of any one – or all – of the Blessing Values of Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.
