CAREGIVER APPRECIATION: Blessing Cardiovascular RNs

“I was treated for a heart attack and subsequent AFib at Blessing Hospital. While staying on the cardiac floor I received outstanding care and support from more people than the provided form/envelope allows me to list, therefore I ‘m sending you my wish to recognize the following individuals. The RNs who cared for me day and night during this difficult time in my life were kind, generous, and attentive to my every need and always thanked me when leaving my room each time. I was so impressed with these nurses for being so caring and kind. I enjoyed learning a little about each of them through brief conversations, which helped me feel more comfortable and relaxed during my stay. They made me feel, not like a needy victim of an unfortunate event, rather as a guest in their facility who they genuinely cared about.

Sarah Buck, RN, Emergency Center, was kind, personable, caring and thorough. She immediately saw to my needs during my initial discomforts.

I found Sarah Mittelberg, RN, Cardiovascular Unit, to be professional, attentive and detailed in her work. She did a great job of helping me feel settled; explaining what was happening and what would be next during my first day at the hospital.

Sarah Redington, RN, Cardiovascular Unit, wore an Apple watch and loved all things Apple related. She was very personable and caring. She was patient while listening to some of my personal stories of my family and travels.

Connor Wolf, RN, Cardiovascular Unit, was my night nurse for a few days and was very personable and attentive to my needs throughout the night. During walks in the hall, to help me rebuild strength, he shared with me his other interests in the family auto repair business and tent supply jobs. A hardworking, intelligent and ambitious individual indeed.

Morgan Schone, RN, Cardiovascular Unit, did a fantastic job of introducing herself, sharing with my wife and I of her past work experiences which qualified her in her present role. She also took extra time to help me understand my discharge papers, medications and likely next steps I would go through once I left the hospital. I perceived she was ambitious and a leader.

Terry Gumm, Telemetry Tech, Cardiovascular Unit, helped my wife with medical records, insurance and referrals. She was supportive and helpful.

Please let those identified know I enjoyed meeting them and how much I truly appreciated their care and service, I never felt like a burden, rather, always felt like the most important person in their day
