Why I Give to the Caring Club
Amy VonderHaar, Senior Accountant, Fiscal Services, Blessing Hospital
“As a long-term employee of the Blessing Health System, I know the passion Blessing has always had for being a true friend to those in need. As the accountant for the Blessing Foundation, I see firsthand that money donated to the Caring Club is spent dollar-for-dollar on necessities that individuals in a time of crisis are unable to afford. Whether it be a payment for medications, rent, or utilities, or gas cards or hotel stays to allow family members to stay with loved ones in healthcare situations, the Caring Club is there to lend a hand. It sincerely warms my heart to know that money I have donated goes directly to families in our own community. I cherish the opportunity to help those that I would otherwise not be able to reach. Knowing that Blessing has the wheels in motion to help those in need makes me very proud to be a Blessing employee and gives me the desire to continually contribute to Blessing’s Caring Club Fund."
