CAREGIVER APPRECIATION: Lauren
"Lauren deserves this award because she is literally an angel on earth. Lauren is not just a nurse that goes above and beyond with her care and compassion but you can tell she is an amazing wife and mother to her own family from the stories she shares. We were the lucky patients chosen to receive her care in such a terrible time in our lives. My husband and I were in a whirlwind of emotions as we were notified our baby boy no longer had a heartbeat and were admitted into the hospital within 24 hours of hearing this news, to birth him. We were scared, nervous and completely broken. We were admitted just before shift change and our new nurse coming on was Lauren. I was glad to see her face as I had seen the care she provided in months prior to other mothers while I completed my maternal clinical. I knew she was a calm and efficient nurse and would provide us with the best care. Little did I know she wouldn't only do just that."
"She understood that none of the decisions we had to make were easy, but she made sure to be right there regardless of our state. She let us cry and ask a million questions, she would talk to us about different subjects to help occupy our mind and most of all she was just there, regardless of how busy she was or what she needed to get done. She was there for the good, the bad and the worst part of the whole stay. We were lucky enough to get her once again the next morning and receive her care while we delivered our precious baby boy. She allowed us all the time in the world and even allowed our son's grandmas to be present, because she knew how much we wanted that. Lauren was our sunshine in one of the darkest moments of our lives. I truly believe she was a big reason as to why my husband & I were able to create a proper closure in such a short notice. There will never be enough words to say how good of a person and nurse she is, and I hope she knows how much she will forever mean to our family. Lauren is a true example of how a nurse can make such a prolific impact on their patients’ lives. The world is absolutely a better place with Lauren in it. Lauren is our family’s earthly angel and will always be remembered for the care and support she provided us those two long days."

How To Nominate a "Blessing Angel":
- Complete the online donation and nomination form located here.
- When filling out the form you will select Who's Your Angel Nomination and then will be asked to tell us about your "Blessing Angel" and how they made a difference.
- Once your nomination is submitted and reviewed the "Blessing Angel" will be presented with a personalized certificate and angel pin to thank and recognize them for the exceptional care that they provided.
