Virtual Visits

At Blessing Health we offer virtual visits for both NEW and ESTABLISHED patients with routine/minor illnesses and injuries.

What are Virtual Visits?

Virtual visits are doctor-patient interactions that occur via FollowMyHealth Patient Portal and phone visits. Virtual visits offer patients an alternative way to communicate with their doctors regarding health issues that do not require face-to-face contact.

Examples of some of the illnesses /injuries that may be conducted virtually are:

  • Sore throat
  • Ear aches
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Thrush
  • Allergies
  • Sinus infections
  • Colds
  • Follow up appointments
  • Some medication refills
  • Back /muscle pain
  • Chronic condition follow-up

How Do I Make A Virtual Visit Appointment?

Current patients can request a virtual visit via the patient portal or by calling their provider office. Illini patients in Pittsfield can call 217-285-9447, to determine if their healthcare need can be met as a virtual visit. If you currently don't have a provider please call (217) 277-5000 and we will help find the right provider to meet your needs.

What You Should Expect the Day of Your Appointment?

If you have a virtual visit scheduled, the receptionist will contact you to pre-register you prior to your appointment. At the time of the visit, please wait by your phone or device at least 10 minutes before your scheduled virtual visit. Your provider will contact you in the pre-arranged/requested way. For the best visit results, patients may be asked to take their own temperature, blood pressure and weight.
