Experience the Blessing Difference: Our Rehabilitation Services

Patients choose Blessing for care because of our:

  • Care that focuses on you: Our rehabilitation therapy team tailors treatment plans to each patient’s medical needs and circumstances. Blessing Hospital addresses acute and intensive needs through our inpatient unit while providing speech and lymphedema therapy on an outpatient basis. • Multiple outpatient therapy locations: For patients in need of additional outpatient therapies, we offer physical therapy services at Blessing's East Adams Rural Health Clinic in Golden. We also partner with ADVANCE Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine. Blessing patients can access a range of physical and occupational therapies at ADVANCE’s Quincy locations. • High quality and excellent outcomes: Our program is accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and the DNV, which means we meet or exceed stringent guidelines on value, quality and outcomes. Learn more about our outcomes.

  • Team approach: Our rehabilitation specialists meet weekly to discuss patients’ progress. We consult with a multidisciplinary team of physicians when such expert guidance may speed recovery. The inpatient unit is led by an on-site board-certified physiatrist, a doctor who specializes in rehabilitation and pain medicine. This coordinated care helps patients get better, faster.

  • Focus on families: Before patients leave the hospital, we make sure family members or caregivers receive hands-on training so they feel comfortable assisting patients in moving safely from their bed to a chair, for example. This training gives a patient’s entire caregiving team the skills and confidence to manage the care at home.

Our Rehabilitation Care Team

Dr. John DeGuzman and Dr. Namratha Ramavaram the area’s only specialized physiatrists, are on-site leading the care team every step of the way. Our highly trained team includes:
