Blessing is recognizing the disparities in maternal health and we want to help mitigate those in the most effective ways possible. And also that we see the importance of birth advocacy on the part of all patients and that needs will vary. See the benefits of birth and postpartum doulas here. That's why we're hosting a free ICEA Professional Birth Doula Workshop on Friday, October 11 and Saturday, October 12 at the Blessing Business Center at 4919 Oak Street in Quincy.
ICEA Certified Birth Doulas are trained professionals who recognize birth as a key life experience. They attend and support the physical, emotional, informational and social needs of women in labor. In addition, they offer new parents advocacy, guidance and referrals to community resources. These resources often-times encompass many spheres including but not limited to self-care, lactation, and healthy parenting.
The workshop runs from 9AM-6PM both days and is open to anyone age 18 and older. Healthcare experience is not required. Lunch will be provided both days. This program is limited 10 participants. Fill out the form below, and if selected, a member of our staff will contact you with more information. (NOTE: Filling out the interest form does not guarantee participation in the program.)
