Donate Life - Shari Edwards' Story
My husband and father of three, Martin Edwards, died following a cardiac event/auto accident at the age of 55. We made the decision to donate his bones, tissues, skin, and corneas. To date, 64 grafts have been gifted to those in need; 45 of the grafts were bones, 13 were skin grafts, and 6 were tendon grafts. Through his generous gift of hope, lives have been saved, mobility has been regained and pain has been reduced in New Jersey, Georgia, Mississippi, Indiana, Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Ohio, South Korea, England and Singapore! We are blessed to have been a part of Gift of Hope and it means a lot to the entire family to know that our loss has benefitted so many people.
