I have been a donor since it was an option on my driver's license.  When my mom was 45 she had cataract surgery that failed in her right eye.  She was fortunate to receive a cornea from a 25-year-old male, who died in an auto accident in Chicago.  She was so fortunate to not lose her eyesight and her experience left a lasting impression on me.

The doctor told her the transplant would maybe last 25 years.  At 85, my mom could still see some out her right eye, but only the big E on an eye chart.  How thankful we are for the family of that young man to give sight to my mom.  I want to share my appreciation with someone who may need my eyes or other body parts.  God is good.
